Huh...

Just a couple days ago, it was warm and lovely outside. As the dogs and I walked the yard I saw that the flower bulbs were shooting up. And the late season garlic was finally making an appearance. I suppose it is the gardeners curse to spend every late winter thinking spring was surely on the doorstep. The night before last it snowed. Just a little. And by midday it was all but gone. I was hopeful that was all we would see of the forecast snow storm. Not so, silly gardener! This picture of the barn (which is really a shed that the former owner built to look like a barn- this is still suburbia after all) doesn't really reflect how much snow is out there. The barn is in a sheltered part of the yard. In order to take this picture, I opened a window that sits above the sunroom. Snow tumbled in the window when I opened it, it had drifted that high on the sunroom roof. I love snow. The dogs love snow. But I am still itchin' to plant things in the ground...
