I Won! No Really, I Won!
I recently discovered another great blog, Idaho Small Goat Garden. The day I tumbled in, Heather was announcing a giveaway. Some lucky winner was going to take home the latest Blue Ball Guide to Preserving, some garden labels, and a Mini-Seedmaster. Now, if you've been reading here for a little while, you would most likely, and quite rightly, expect these lovely prizes to be won by anyone other than yours truly. Ho ho! Not so! That's right, I won! Yes, seriously. So...many, many thanks to Heather. I can't wait to break them in. (Hmm, maybe I shouldn't say 'break'...) And to the rest of you, go see what Heather and clan are up to!

Your package is on it's way, Maggie! Thanks for the kind words about my blog too. That canning book (the last edition) is what got me hooked and the reason I had to build a second garden. Planning to preserve changes what you want to grow. Have fun!
Whoot - you are a real winner!
:)
Ha! Congratulations, Maggie! I have seen that new, updated Ball Canning Book and you are a lucky lady! yipee!
Hey, congratulations! It sure is fun to win stuff - and that's handy stuff.
The pond in the photo on my blog is a raised one made of 2 rows of concrete block with a 2 inch thick wood top and pond liner to hold the water. We've had it for several years. The only thing about raised ponds - water lilies don't over-winter them, but otherwise they're great. We have 2 deeper in-ground ponds that we put the lily pots in for winter.
Thanks everybody! It really did make my day. :) You know, I think I have a one-year blogiversary coming up. Maybe I should give something away? But what? Hmmm.... maybe Luna! (kidding... mostly...)
Oh, and Sande- thanks for the pond info. That may be how I go. I could create a cute hideaway garden with the pond as a visual break between the garden and the neighbors. Hmm...
Yea!! Congrats!! : )
Congrads!!!!! Happy Garden Time dear friend. Delightful blog you have shared with us and I can't wait to return to see what is blooming soon.
